I’ve been into online political commentary for over seven years now. Needless to say, when documenting and commenting on the existential crisis facing Western society, the subjects one delves into are usually less than uplifting. However, it’s not always doom and gloom. Sometimes, its fun to reminisce on the moments which brought a smile to my face. So, here’s a list of five memories from my time in this sphere which never fail to make me laugh.

5. Tim Pool EXPOSED!!! (2017)

The squeaky-voiced, beanie-wearing, mixed-raced former “independent journalist” turned right-wing ragebait merchant constitutes a joke in and of himself. Tim Pool is certainly a candidate for the worst political commentator on the Internet. A glance at his YouTube channel will show countless thumbnails of videos with melodramatic buzz words such as “EXPOSED”, “IMPLODES”, or “BOMBSHELL” in bright red capital letters along his stupid face staring down whatever happens to be in the news cycle that particular day. He attended an ANTIFA rally where he could do his moderate centrist shtick of acting flabbergasted by how crazy the left had become, garnering favour with the YouTube algorithm. But then Millennial Matt showed up and threw a spanner in works, yanking the iconic beanie from the hapa’s noggin.

After the most pitiful attempt at sounding intimidating ever, beanie boy then insists that he always wears a hat so that he is unrecognizable without it, meaning ANTIFA can’t follow through on their alleged death threats against him. Either that, or the hat is intended to conceal the perceptible lack of hair on his head. You decide…
