This was one of the movies that I had to put on pause until I could get into a proper mood. It is legit one the most cruel and gloomy stories I've ever seen, and based on the exerpts from McCarty's novel that I went through, the movie doesn't quite reach the levels of horror of the original text. Definitely a movie worth watching, but at least for me personally it requires some mental prep.
Great review! Not sure I will watch it though as I like just a bit more than a glimmer of hope in films. Also, McCarthy. There's few films I wish I had never seen but No Country For Old Men is at the very top of that short list.
