I grew up with Boomer parents and Devon's description of them is spot on. Especially the way they talk about spending all of their money before they die. Truly the most casually selfish generation in history. Just the other day I was chatting with my dad (79, so an old Boomer) about what we would do if we won the lottery jackpot. He said that he would give almost all of it away to charity because he has no need of that much money. I told him I would keep all of it to pass on to my kids and grandkids, basically put our family into the inherited wealth class. I could tell from talking with him that the idea of passing that money on to his children had literally not occurred to him. I get that this was a silly conversation but I can say that it was very representative to what it felt like growing up with two Boomer parents.

Boomers have this extremely hostile attitude against their sons and the generation of their sons. The X-Generation was thoroughly fucked by this.
