I still want the politicians to pay for what they did. Using your example, I never cared about Gaza, and I haven't moved on. The government experimented on its citizens and profited from the side-effects, money-laundering, and murder. The death penalty is warranted. Technically, the harm continues as the government expects trillion dollar spending bills going forward.

You have such a great voice, I enjoy listening to you present/read your own articles -- not the nerve racking, metallic, mid-western American accented, AI, female voice relegated to Substack articles that creators don't read themselves. Please, please, PLEASE, read your own work!

Fantastic article. It chaps me a bit the the people in power are so adept at what they do, and do it over cocktails and iced shrimp. One could teach a course on power and mass social control through the lens of when you and other dissidents know. But so many are led down dead- ends by the perfected modern Matrix, as Ryan Dawson might say.

Here in Canada, we just watched ten million hypnotized idiots watch a sports game for a straight month or more. Do we attack the bread and circuses directly- or reveal the whole metastructure, by explaining it at the higher level? People need to connect the dots between "I'm 43 and I've never owned real estate" and "Hockey Night in Canada.
